Saturday 24 January 2009

On Saturday January 24th 2009 at All Saints church we were very privileged to have two visitors to our church to talk to us about worship.

The first of these was Bishop Graham Cray, the Bishop of Maidstone, who is shortly to become the national advisor for the Archbishop of Canterbury for Fresh Expressions of Church.

Our second visitor was Andrew Maries of the Keynote Trust. Andrew has a vocation to help bring renewal of the music and worship of churches throughout the UK and beyond.

Both Bishop Graham and Andrew Maries worked together in the 1980's and early nineties at St Michael-le-Belfry in York.

The aim of the day was to think about our worship as a church as part of the review which is currently taking place. The content of the talks was excellent. We were privileged to have two of the best speakers in the country with us.

Andrew Maries talked first and here is his talk in two sections. Just click below on the arrow pointing to the right on the far left of each "audio" bar.

Then Bishop Graham spoke. This is again divided into two 30 minute sections.
